Obituary.Died, Wednesday,February 10th, at the residence of Amor Cook, near Middleboro, Annice F. Bowman, age 22 years, 9 months and 11 days. Funeral services at Middleboro M. E. Church, preaching by Rev. J. Hill, of New Paris, at the request of of the deceased. Subject, “Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth/’ of which was well delivered and listened to by a large and attentive audience. Singing by the Sabbath School,after which her remains were taken to the Goshen Grave yard for interment, followed by a large conco.use of 'sympathizing friends and relations. Annice was a member of the M. E. Church, had been for six years, of which time she was diligent in attending church and Sabbath School, nor did she regard the inclemency of the weather. She frequently spoke in meeting expressing her great desire when done writh this life that she might be permitted to enter in the glory land. These were her last w ords spoken in meeting, blessed thought, her request has been granted. She was an earn-•est wrorker in the Sabbath School and had been for several years capable of imparting scriptural knowledge to the different classes assigned her. Her loss will be as deeply felt in Sabbath School as in the family circle, and in society with whom she associated, but our loss is to her eternal gain. She was naturally amiable and cheerful in her disposition, respected and loved by all who knew her, careful at all times to live in accordance with her profession. She bore all her great suffering with Christian fortitude, often saying she did not think she had to suffer like some. A few hours before she died she bid farewell to all in the room, a number of her friends she embraced biding farewell, telling them it w as a happy change. Being assured by some of her dear friends they would meet in that happy land,after this all was well with her and she soon passed away. L. C.
