D. Jefcoaton80th BirthdIn a gathering ~f his children,grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends, D. 1 D. Jefcoat, well known resident r.f the Bruce community, observed his eightieth anniversary.All of Mr. Jefcoat’s seven children were present except one, Mrs. Mary Jane McDona11, of Rich toil, who was unable to be present. Those who gathered to congratulate their parent on his birthday were: John, Bruce, Fad a, and Tessie D. Jefcoat, Mrs. J. B. Ingram, Mrs. Amos Coats, all of the Bruce community.Brothers and sisters of Mr. Jefcoat present, were George M.. Rich, H. D„ Frank, Jim and D. W. Jefcoat, Mrs. Jim Shows of Bruce and Mrs. Della Knight of Laurel.A number of Mr. Jefcoat’s boyhood friends were present and many tales of the doings of the youngsters of years ago were related. Mr. Jefcoat is the grandfather of 46 children and the great-grandfather of 37, many of whom were present.Among the boyhood friends present were: B. F. Hinton, age 75; A.A. Hinton, age 73; G. W. Harper, age 71; (Uncle) Jim Shows, and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Ellsworth of Ellisville.Dinner was served on the front lawn of the home in picnic style, and after justice had been done to the sumptuous repast, the crowd gathered on the front porch and enjoyed music by the Matthews Iband of Shady Grove, the Bruce pand, and musicians from Mt.
