Lee Collins, con-' sented to this arrangement after Dr. William F-Iazlett. of Chicago, examined him and pronounced him dead.Seven of Collins7 friends crawled down the tunnel to identify him as members of the coroner’s jury. Haz-lett said they identified- Collins through a gold front tooth, and announced Collins had been dead between three and five days when he was reached yesterday. Magistrate Turner, acting -coroner said he had -seen and recognized Collins, and he' was confident there was no way to remove the body without grave risk.Everything was done that could be done and man's ingenuity and modern machinery failed.
