Toil Brewek, the boea gambler of' Springfield, and Jack O'Hara came to* gether on the streets of the capital Friday, Brewer is the king gambler of SpringtioM and was a candidate for doorkeeper of the house at the opening of the session, O’Hara is a local politician who has a job at the state houses He claims that Brewer has been robbing his friends in a “skin” game of faro and has been circulating the report that Brewer’s place is a swindling institution. * When the two men met ther* was a hot interchange words and Brewer pulled a revolver, O'Hara, ^ho is an. old soldier, was not in. the least daunted by this, but sailed into the gambler despite the revolver. Interference of bystanders prevented any damage being done.
