Januarycrashclaims lifeStaff reportA woman who was injured in an automobile accident last month died Friday in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from injuries she sustained in the accident.Dana Lorraine Wright, 20. of Rushville, was returning home from work in another county at approximately 8 a.m. Jan. G when she lost control of her vehicle on State Road 44 near Homer. The roads were slick and hazardous that morning, according to police.Wright's vehicle slid into the path of a pick-up truck driven by Wray L. Jackson, also of Rush County.Jackson, who was drivinga 1992 Chevrolet full-size pick-up truck, struck the Wright vehicle head-on in the right passenger side. Wright was trapped in the wreckage for several minutes and had to be freed by emergencyworkers.The force of the impact caused Wright severe head trauma. She was transported to Rush Memorial Hospital by Todd Ambulance and was later transferred to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She remained at Methodist until her death.Jackson, and a passenger, Evelyn J. Jackson, received minor injuries in the crash. They were both transferredto RMH by Manilla medic units.Indiana State Police investigated the accident.
