Alma Olson 735-2739 Wow! Good weather time and catching up time. December 9, the Starbuck Com munity Centre held a general meeting. The following people were elected: Committee members Jack Mc Robie, Janice Johnson, John Barenz, Marge Schade, Or ville Olson, Noreen Demoskoff, Ron Braun. Esther Little, Roy Livingston. Dwight Cochrane: Caretakers: Dwight and Reatha Cochrane. Mr and Mrs Litt, Booking agent: Janice Johnson. I don’t have any information from the Recreation Center, simply because no one gets in touch with me. This year the Trinity Lutheran annual meeting was held Jan. 17, following a pet luck dinner. At this meeting it was decided to change heating systems from oil to wood electric. Elected to the coun cil for three year terms were: Fritz FR Ammeter, Donald Qually, Gary Rasmussen, and Ralph Rasmussen. Elected as the congregational representative to the Meridian Interfaith Council were: Gordon Livingston, also serving is Harry Ammeter, February 21 will be L.C.W. Sun day. It will give to the whole con gregation an insight into their goals. The L.C.W. includes, or should include every confirmed woman or youth who has joined the congregation. The purpose of our Lutheran Church Women is “to know and to do the will of the Lord.” This is accomplished through regular Bible Study. We are planning to begin quitting this Feb, as the weather warms up again. We really had a beautiful winter in contrast to other parts of our world, February $4 in Pastor Hen drikson’s absence. Pastor Leon Gilbertson was in guest pastor. In 1981, we started our Prayer Partner project and have drawn names again for '82. Anyone can participate even if you are unable to attend our monthly micetines. Peter Alvin’ Ammeter, son of Dennis and Claudette (Bouchard) Ammeter was baptized at Trinity Lutheran. Sponsors were Kerry Ammmeter and Bonnie Ammeter, Ryan Olson and Helen Olson are home from hospital after sur ety. Ending on a sad note, our mother Clara Margarethe Johnson (nee Starseth) passed away Jan. 23 Men who pay whole-hearted attention to business. who train themselves. who develop every power to the Tull, are favored by their training of the average man. Despite our boasted institutions of learning, most men are only half educated, have no clear purpose in life or lithe real ambition, and are not honest in the highest meaning of the word. The only wonder is that well ruined, honest, am bitious, creative men do not forge to the front more rapidly —Darwin P. Kingsley
