B. NELSON. 57J. B. Nelson. 57. valued chemist at the U. S. Gypsum Co. for 36 years and husband of Mrs. Hilda Kelly Nelson, Catawba school principal. died early Sunday at Riverside hospital in Toledo from injuries sustained Friday at 7:40 a.m. in a traffic accident on Route 2 as he was enroute to work. His home address was 722 E. Perry St.Thrown from his car following a collision with an empty haulaway truck driven by Walter C. Norris.32. of Erie, Pa.. Mr. Nelson suffered multiple fractures on the left side of his body and internal injuries.He was brought to Magruder hospital and later transferred to River-view.State Highway Patrolman Corporal Robert E. Sauer said Mr. Nelson was going east and the haulaway was headed west when the vehicles collided near the center lin. The crash happened nine-tenths of a mile east of Port Clinton city limits.Funeral services for Mr. Nelson were conducted Wednesday at two from the Neidecker - Ebcrle - Le-Veck mortuary, with the Rev. Perry Blankenship officiating, and burial in Oakland cemeterv at Sandusky.Mr. Nelson is survived by his wife. Hilda, prominent in Ottawa Co education circles; one daughter. (Elizabeth) Jean Nelson. New' York City; four sisters. Mrs. G. C. Chastain of Knoxville, Tenn, Mrs. Geo.W. Guess of Valdosta, Ga.. Mrs. A.W. Arp of Miami. Mrs. William Davenport of Blueridge. Ga.. and a brother Carl of Valdosta. He was born March 27, 189B. in Blueridge.Ga.. son of John and Lenna Nelsan.He was a World War I veteran, a past patron of Eastern Star, and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Toledo consistory.
