He has been engaged in Americanization work as chairman of the Americanlbation committee of the American Legion. He was professor of languages, and before making his home in Joliet taught Ita„ lian and French. He was it captain in the medical corps of the U. S. army during the World War and served in the Phillipplnes.He was nominated by Antone Nema-nich, and was introduced from the floor of the convention by Dominic Romano, candidate for circuit clerk at the Democratic primary April 12.Edward G. Purkhiser, Joliet attorney, and veteran Democrat, delivered an address before the convention complimenting the delegates on their good judgment in handling the affairs of the party.
