SATURDAY POPULAR CONCERTS.The fifth of a series of Bohemian concerts was held at the “ Jolly Butcher’s Hotel, Wood Green, last Saturday evening^ Mr. Charles Fulkes occupied the diair and Mr. A. Wardrop vice-chaired, rhc programme, an excellent one, was under the directorship of Messrs. Underwood and Clare; and Mr. Alfred Knott presided at the piano. The favourite of the evening was undoubtedly Miss Glenn Olva. Both her selections, “• Scenes that are Brightest ” and “ In Sweet September” met with the warmest approval. Mr. Eldon furnished the indispensable patriotic element ill “ Boys of the Bank andFile” and “ The Battle of Life/’ Mr. Lynn sang “ Lucky Jim ” with- much success, Mr. Harold Rex contributed “ Can’t you go further than that ? ” and “ I’d never noticed itbefore.” Mr, Escourt Meeeh sang, “ Fd like to go halves in that” with marked success, the approbation of the audience having the_ usual result—an encore, “ In the pale moonlight.”Among many others contributing were : Mr. Perry, “ All’ Wobbly ” ; Mr. Kemp, “ You re got a long way'to go”; Mr. Mills, “Stop There”; Mr, Underwood, “ O ! Promise me ” ; and Mr. S.. Knott. “On Board the Randidan.”
