SATURDAY POPULAR CONCERTS.The fifth of a series of Bohemian concerts was held at the “ Jolly Butcher’s Hotel, Wood Green, last Saturday evening^ Mr. Charles Fulkes occupied the chair and Mr. A. Wardro.p vice-chaired, riic programme, an excellent one, was under the directorship of Messrs. Underwood and Clare; and Mr. Alfred Knott presided at the piano. The favourite of the evening was undoubtedly Miss GlennOJva. Both her selections, “ Scenes thatare Brightest ” and “ In Sweet September’’ met with the warmest approval. Mr. Eldon furnished the indispensable patriotic element in “ Boys of the Rank andFile” and “The Battle of Life;’' Mr. Lynn sang “ Lucky Jim ” with, much success. Mr. Harold Rex contributed “ Can’t you go further than that ? ” and “ I’d never noticed itbefore.” Mi\ Escourt Meech sang, “I’d like to go halves in that” with marked success, the approbation of the audience having the_ usual result—an encore, “ In the pale moonlight.”Among many others contributing wore : Mr. Perry. • “ All Wobbly ” ; Mr. Kemp, “ you vo got a long way to go”; Mr.Mills, “Stop There”; Mr. Underwood, “ (VI Promise me ” ; and Mr. S.. Knott. “On Board the Randidan.”
