The Elko Independent of February 10 oontaioed the following : Mra. William Ballinger of Skelton died suddenly at 5 o’clock Friday morning. The particu-lara of the aad event were given u last night by Mr. L. F. Rice, who came in after a ooffin. From him we learned that Mrs. Ballinger gave birth to a child at 3:15 Friday morning and died at 5 o’clock. She appeared bright after the birth of the child until a few minutes before she died, when she complained that everything seemed to be getting dark and she could not see. She then lapsed into unconsciousness and passed away. The child is sprightly and well.The deceased was a native of White River, White Pine county, and was about 25 years of age. The remains will oe taken to Eureka for burial and the funeral will take place next Tuesday or Wednesday. Mr. Rice returned to Skelton last night with a cofhu. Mr. Pullman accompanied him and will embalm the remains.Mrs. Bellinger is spoken of by all who knew her as an excellent woman who was devoted to her home and family. Her sad death leaves a vaoancy in a once happy homo. _Mrs. Ballinger was a sister of J. P. Riordan of Sunnyside, White Pine county, and, as stated above, it was the intention to have the remains sent to Kureka for interment, but later it was determined to have the funeral take place at Sau Francisco. Accordingly, the body was taken from Skelton to Elko, and on Monday evening was sent to Saa Francisco for burial.
