Louisiana Kid Gambles In Soupy Smith's 1 luce With Loud Results.Cr.i'DE. Col., Feb 11.—A shooting affray occune l Friday night, the particulars of which have been suppressed. As lar as can be learned no mio was killed.Louisiana Kid had been gambling in Soapy Smith’s place and had lost his money, lie had been complaining that he had been robbed, when lie was promptly knocked on the head with a six shootejj and thrown out ot door.-. The Kid. thirst-’ ing .or revenge, lay in wait outside, and soon two of Smith’s gang came out. The Louisiana Kid opened lire 011 the two men, which they were not slow so return. '1 he firing then became geneial. and many bystanders bad narrow escapes.'flic result was that the manager of Fmith’s place, whose name cannot he learned, had both his thumbs shot off, slight wound in his body and an arm broken. The Louisiana Ki.» received three shots, one in the neck and two in the hodv. None of the wounds arc fatal. No arrests were made.
