Dorne’s Gold Mine. —Mr. J. J.Fields passed through this city on Tuesday last, on his way to the Dahlonega Mint, having in charge $19,000 worth of gold, from the mine of Wm. Dome, in Abbeville and Kdgefield Districts, South Carolina. This amount was the product of the work of eight hands during the month of January. During twenty and a half days in December with the same number of hands, the yield was $20,590. The aggregate yield of gold since the commencement of the work in the mine, about ten months ago, has been upwards of $200,000. The quality of the gold from this mine is said to be of a very superior order, and we understand that Mr. Dome has some huge specimens in readiness for exhibition at the World’s Fair next Summer.—Atlanta Intelligencer,
