Name of NormalSchool Changed By LegislatureWestern Montana College of Education is the name by which the State Normal college will be known in the future; The change was approved by the Thirty-first Legislative Assembly, and last week the bill was signed by Gov. John W. Bonner.Officially the new name goes into effect July 1, the beginning of the, fiscal year. Those receiving degrees and diplomas in March or in June will receive them from the State Normal college, but beginning with the August class all degrees and diploma:; of the future will be granted by the western Montana College1 of Education.The 1949 aUmmer. school schedule, soon to be issued, will be the first official publication under thenew name.
