J. FIDDYMENTA link in family life has been broken in a tragic manner by the death of Mrs Flora D. Fiddyment, aged 40. wife of Mr Cecil J. Fiddyment, of Pitt 8treet, in Newcastle General Hospital about midnight on Wednesday. The deceased was admitted to the institution on 10th January, and a serious opera tion was performed on Monday last, from which she failed to properly rally. The late Mrs Fiddyment was born at Kllburn. London, and had been a resident of Singleton for 20 years. She possessed musical talent of a high order, and besides being original producer for Singleton Operatic Society, when it functioned some years ago. also took a leading part in the operas after relln qulshing the duties of producer. Mrs Fiddyment was popular alike with artists and the public. Some years ago she took an active part in the work of the Red Cross Society, and also gave material assistance to All Saints' choir and the Women's Guild associated with that church. In addition to the husband, she leaves three children. Peter (II). Norma lt;9). and Pauline (3). and the deep wit sympathy will be extended to them in their irreparable loss. The funeral, which was conducted by Mr H.
