FORMER RESIDENT KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENTColin Lincoln, 28, of Omaha was killed in a one-car accident on Interstate 80 near Omaha, early Monday, Feb. 5, when his car went out of control, hitting a bridge abutment.Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 10:30 a.m.,in the Grace Lutheran Church in Marathon with Pastor Henry Palm and Pastor B. J. Ukena officiating. Music was furnished by the congregation with Mrs. Harry Johanson, organist. Flower ladies were Mrs. Harold Netsch and Mrs. Wendell Ritchie.Bearers were Bert Tjebben, George Buse, Harold Netsch, Laverne Cope, Robert Anderson and Arlin Garton.Interment was in Memorial Garden at Ankeny, with John Voight, Farrell Leonard, Marlin Leonard, Paul Peterson, Don Miller and Larry Gray, bearers.The Nelson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.ObituaryColin Kenneth Lincoln was bom June 12, 1944, to Mr, and Mrs. Warren Lindoln in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He was graduated from the Worthington High School in Worthington, Minn., in 1962. He joined the Army in which he served for three years in the Security Agency.In 1964 he was joined in marriage to Connie Alexander of Marathon. To this union a daughter, Alecia, was born.Upon dompletion of his service he attended college at Pensacola, Fla. He later completed computer programming training in Des Moines, Iowa, and was employed in Omaha, Neb., where he resided.He leaves to mourn: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lincoln of Worthington, Minn.; his daughter, Alecia Christine of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, LeRoy, of Rochester, Minn., a sister, Lynne Carlson of Ankeny, Iowa; eight nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
