City police today were con tinuing their investigation into the reported loss of $124.13 in cash from the offices of Four Corners Aviation, 1300 W. Navajo, early Sunday morning. Philip Davis, an employe of the company, said he had left the office momentarily about 7:30 a.m. and when he return ed, found that the cash drawer, which was fastened with a hasp lock, had been, broken into and the cash taken. In other weekend police ac tivity, Vidal Lister, 3004 Stan ford, told authorities that con tents of a tool box, which in cluded jacks, sockets, cables and chains had been taken from the rear of his pickup truck while it was parked near Sacred Heart Church on N. Allen Sunday evening. He valued less at $142. David Newman, 22, of Fruit land, was arrested on charges of speeding and reckless driving after he was apprehended by police following a reported chase which began on W. Pinon and ended near Fruitland. Three passengers in his car, all 16 years old from Fruitland, were detained in connection with curfew violation and drunkenness and referred to juvenile authorities. Joseph Yerkes of 605 E. Animas, told police Saturday that his home had been broken into and $60 in dimes and quarters taken from a bag in his bedroom. Police later ap prehended two 10-year-old boys in connection with the incident, who were referred to juvenile officers. ... Also held for juvenile authorities was a 14-year-old farmington boy who was detained for shoplifting in connection with the loss of a 19 cent water gun from McLel lan’s, 125 W. Main, Saturday afternoon. Reporting the loss of a camper jack valued at $78 from his vehicle Saturday was Roger Ahkeah who said the item had been taken while the truck was parked at 818 E. Main. Paul Hamilton, 2117 Camino Rio, told police that someone had apparently broken into an apartment at 1506 Cherry Lane sometime Friday or Saturday and ransacked the rooms, strewing litter over the floors. Two games, valued at $10, were reported as missing. Reporting the loss of bat teries, jumper, cables, wrenches and other tools, valued at $76, from the bed of a pick-up truck parked at the Enco Service Sta tion, 20th and Dustin, Saturday was Doyle Purvis, a station employee Horace Follis, 58, of Kirtland, was arrested by city police Sunday evening at Schwartz and Broadway on charges of careless driving. Police said that Follis also allegedly refused to sign the traffic cita tion.
