Miss Sue Catherine Fisher became the bride of George Claude Sarran at the Crestview Methodist Church in Austin February 6 with the Rev. David Paul, pastor, officiating for the double ring ceremony The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fisher of 5843 Southminister in Houston and formerly of Alice. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. George H. Sarran of 3747 Ellison Drive in San Antonio. A large arrangement of white gladiolas accented the com munion table and pews were marked with white satin bows Paul Kennard of Austin was musician for the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a formal gown fashioned of white crepe with an empire waist and full sleeves. Intricately worked seed pearls highlighted the cuffs of the sleeves and the stand-up collar A chapel cap of a bencon lace held her shot veil of illusion. She carried a bouquet of matched Cymbidum orchids with faintly flushed pink on the petals. Miss Nancy Jo Fisher, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She was wearing a street length dress of navy blue with white embroidery trimming the long sleeves and the front of the dress. She carried a nosegay of white carnations in a sunburst design. Dick Martin of San Antonio served the groom as best man. Dr. Jack Bergfeld of New Braunfels and Lt. Col. E.B. Hill of Mineral Wells were ushers. The mother of the bride chose a mint green, street length dress and wore a yellow orchid cor sage. The groom's mother was wearing a blue dress in street length with a yellow orchid corsage. The reception followed at the Balcones Country Club. The all white three tier wedding cake was served from a large round table, flanked by rectangular tables where finger sandwiches were served with mints and nuts, champagne punch and fruit punch. Tables were decorated with arrangements of white and yellow chrysanthemums and baby’s breath. For the wedding trip the bride wore a brown and white, two- piece dress and an orchid cor sage. The bride was graduated from the School of Nursing, Texas University at Austin, with a B.A. in Nursing. She is employed at the Methodist Hospital in Houston in the Fondren Car diovascular Intensive Care Unit. Her husband was graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and the University of Texas with a M.B.A. degree and is doing further graduate work in Houston. The couple will make their home in Houston. Attending the wedding from Alice were the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Solon Carpenter, also another aunt, Miss Nadine Gerdes, and Miss Josephine Price. MR, AND MRS, SARRAN
