To the Times: I wish to thank the school board for taking into careful con sideration everything that was said at their meeting Tuesday. The latter was not meant to mis lead, “it was just sarcasm in the purest form. The had better luck talking to a stone wall. A powerful group individuals, seeking their own personal inter ests, managed to frustrate the efforts of government that would promote the welfare of all. The school board said that stu dents have a responsibility to tax payers to look ‘‘clean”, “respect Tha ea a ; their own Student Council has been neglecting its duties. Its be coming common knowledge that our Student Constitution has been lost for quite some time and that the Council has made no attempt to replace it. The halls of Bar Harbor High School are hearing a new term, that term is “Student Rights’’. I prophesy that the long hair ban will be lifted within two months. Robert Bothen
