The funeral of Mrs. Anna Bateson was ; held here Saturday afternoon, conducted • by Revr. George Patrich, of Guthrie Cen-1 ter, assisted by Rev. S. C. Wadding of j Radcliffe. Mrs. Bateson was one of the j pioneers of this part of the county, was, for many years a resident of Radcliffe, was an earnest Christian woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. She left here a few years ago, going- to Guthrie county to make her home with her ' daughter, where she died Feb. 8, aged 74 years. She was the mother of a large j family, but two of whom survive her— j Mrs, ]. H. Phelps, of Guthrie Center, j and Miss Esther Bateson. Her husband 1 preceded her to the grave about eleven j years ago.
