WEST BROOKLYN— Miss Susan Henkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Henkel, Rt. 1, West Brooklyn, became the bride of Michael Pratt, son of the Ronald Pratts, Rt. 4, Dixon, Jan. 25 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The double-ring wedding was performed at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Louis Pesut, pastor of the church, and nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Bernard Ack land, Mendota, guitarist and vocalist. Altar flowers Baskets filled with variegat ed carnations and white gladioli decorated the church altar, and satin bows in pastel colors were attached to the pews. The bride's wedding gown combined a floor-length skirt of candlelight delustered satin and an empire bodice of Chan tilly lace. Rows of lace ruffles accented the gown’s tapered sleeves and high neckline, and her skirt was designed with a lace-trimmed chapel train and a wide hemline ruffle of lace. A lace and pearl Juliet bonnet held her illusion bridal veil, and as she was escorted to the altar by her father, she carried a crescent-shaped bouquet of white Jack Frost roses, stepha nots, Starburst pompous, ba by’s breath and clusters of star flowers in the colors of her at tendants’ gowns. Miss Sharon Henkel, Rock ford, who was her sister’s maid of honor, wore a full-length sleeveless gown of Nile-green jersey with a short jacket of forest-green velvet. Identically styled gowns of pink, orchid and pastel-blue jersey were worn by the attend ants, Miss Judy Dinges, Mrs. David Pottorff and the bride groom’s sister, Miss Linda Pratt, all of Dixon. The gown worn by Miss Dinges was com plemented by a ruby-red velvet jacket; Mrs. Pottorff wore a purple velvet jacket, and Miss Pratt’s blue gown was accented by a jacket of royal-blue velvet. Cascades of velvet ribbons fell from their nosegays formed of Elegance carnations, Starburst pompons, dried baby’s breath and starflowers in colors matching their individual cos tumes. John Sullivan, Amboy, was Mr. Pratt's best man, and serv ing as groomsmen were Timo thy Bothe and David Schulte, Dixon, and the bride's brother, Dean Henkel. Ushers for the service were the bridegroom's brother, Douglas Pratt, Dixon, and Dennis Henkel, brother of the bride. To Florida Preceding their departure on a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds were honored at a reception for 400 guests at the Green River Saddle Club, Am boy. Since their return, they have been residing on Rt. 4, Dixon. The bride was guest of honor at a number of prenuptial showers, and the bridegroom's parents hosted a wedding re hearsal dinner in the Long Branch Restaurant, Amboy. A graduate of Mendota High School, the new Mrs. Pratt is employed in the medical rec ords department of KSB Hospi tal, Dixon, and her husband, a graduate of Dixon High School, operates a farm in rural Dixon with his father.
