Walcott Fight Talks Reaching Showdown StageNEW YORK (/P)—Discussions on Jersey Joe Walcott's next title fight reach the showdown stage today.Jim Norris, president of the In-, ternational Boxing Club, and Felix I Bocchlccio. manager of the 38-year-1 old heavyweight king, were set to meet here again today after a fruitless session in the manager’s home in Camden. N. J„ last night.Walcott wants to fight undefeated Rocky Marciano but is in no particular hurry to meet Kzzard Charles. The rub. of course, is that old Joe is contractually bound to tiff with Ezzard under the auspices of the IBC.Ezzard. who beat Jersey Joe twice before losing the crown to him last July, says he has no intention of stepping aside to permit Walcott to collect a big pot of money against Rocky.What gives today's confab a pressing nature is that the New York State Athletic Commission is reported all set to akc Walcott's precious corwn awav on Friday1 unless he signs another papci guaranteeing Charles the first shot.
