About 10 p. m. I had occasion to be out of doors and walking towards the west, when my surroundings were suddenly illuminated with a clear bright light On turning to see whence the light came, I saw in the eastern sky a little to the south, a meteor or luminous body falling to the earth. It was brilliantly clear and appeared to zig zag and revolve as it fell. Within a few seconds it disappeared beneath the horizen.What through no real voice nor sound, Admidst those radiant orbs be found!In Reason's ear they all rejoice,And utter forth a glorious voice:Forever singing as they shine The hand that made us is Divine.
