Hampton, Tax Collector of Jones county, died at 12:05 o'clock this morning in tbe Stamford Sanitarium after an operation for Peritonitis He ,will be' buried at four o’clock this afternoon at the Mount Hops cemetery, Auboq, Rev. J. H. Edmonds will conduct the service and Uie Masons will be in charge at the grave.Sketch of Hjs Life.Mr. Hampton was forty years of age. He was born near Monroe City, Mo., and came to Jones county fourteen years ago.
