None of the other coasters wereinjured.The accident happened in this manner: Dick Pautz, accompanied by alady, was driving east on Chicagostreet. At the Seventh street crossinga group of boys parted apparently tolet the sleigh pass but really leavingth^ir sled directly in the roadway onthe crossing. Thie probably was be-cause the boys behind the sled backedaway from it when they saw the horseapproaching. Mr. Pautz did not seethe sled it being invisible because thelight on that corner was not burning* jp I'flWkp.and the snow there was mixed with mudso that the sled was invisible against it.'When the horse saw the sled in frontof it it tried to turn aside as if to gonorth on Seventh street. The boys thenbegan pulling at the sled in such a manner as to turn the hors£ up Seventhstreet where it pulled the cutter on topof the. sled tipping the cutter over andspilling out the occupants.The horse then ran north on Seventhstreet where it collided with the pfcrtyon the sled on which Miss Dramm wasalso seated.Dr. Meany was called to attend to the1 Mr j ^ * mgirl’s injuries. Mr. Pautz and his companion were also slightly injured butnot seriously. Miss Dramm, however,fared badly one of her limbs being fractured in two places.Mr. Pautz claimed today that, notonssing of Seventh and Chicagoreets, but that there also were anumber of sleds used by the coasterson which there were no lights.Dr. F.
