r -----—In this County the log school houses have given place to more sut)f stantial structures and there are now 87 brick and 58 frame buildings. In a few years a frame school building will be a curiosity.—Over 2,000 children of school age, did not attend school in this County last year. This can be accounted for in part by the large number of boys and girls employed in the factories ati 'Elkhart and in this city.
