Hattie Nye received word Sunday of the death of her nephew, Leonard Houghton, former Woodhull resident, who passed away at 11 o’clock Saturday night at his home I in Donovan, III., following a long illness. 'Mr. Houghton, son of Leon and Ella Houghton, was a graduate of Woodhull High school. He attended a teacher’s college and later taught for several years at the Donovan High school. He was. married in 1926 in Donovan. The couple farmed for several years on the Leon Houghton farm east of Woodhull, and later resided in Galesburg. At one time Mr. Houghton was a member of the Woodhull CommunityBand.Survivors are his wife, Edna, two daughters, Mrs. Betty Webster and Mrs. Marian Siebring. and a son.' Leon, all of Donovan; several grand children; two brothers, Clarence of Galesburg and Russell of Edelstein; at half-sister, Mrs. Neoma Tucek, who was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Leon Houghton: aunts. Mrs. Hattie Nye of Woodhull and Mrs. Ester Franseen of Galesburg, and cousins. Levi Nye of Woodhull. Mrs. Rachel Baker of Aledo. Walter and Herald Franseen of Galesburg. .Robert Houghton-of Pekin and Mrs. Shirley Koons of Oneida are nephews.Funeral services were held Tuesday at Donovan.NFW WINDSOR
