Board of Public Works At Uio meeting of the Hoard of I Public Works in the city hall Monday jamorning, a petition was presented for ;|the paving ol North (‘ed.ir street ! from Edge water drive to Mishawaka | avenue, signed by all hut one of the j property owners on the street. jISupt. A. R. Klein reported to the !Board that the present charge for I making wa'er taps was not adequate to cover the expense, and recommended that the Public Service commission be petitioned for authority to increase the charge. The Board0 Iadopted Mr. Klein’s recommendation and appointed City Attorney Jerne-gan to assist him in preparing the necessary petition.The hearing of the property own-iers on the Sixth street pavement was ! held and no remonstrators appeared. ! The Board confirmed the resolution jand ordered the improvement. Ob-jtjectors will have ten days in whichto file a remonstrance.
