She Is 92 years of age and has her home with her daughter, the wife of Postmaster Abraham Murphy and her room is on the ground floor off from the dining room. She had partially dressed herself and all of a sudden Mrs. Murphy was attracted by screams and the same moment the figure of the aged lady was framed in the dining room door one mass of fiames. Mrs. Murphy quickly seised a woolen blanket and threw it about the living torch and soon smothered out the flame3. Dr. Iden of Dresden was called and he found the burns were so severe recovery would be im-oossibie. The hair was burned off the head and the face and shoulders are badly burned. There are also deep burns about the hips from the bands of her clothing. Doubtless she also inhaled some of the flame. She maylinger for a day or so but cannot get well.Mrs. Murphy was badly burned on the hands and arms in trying to extinguish the fiames-Mr.s, EHon Mills, the aged lady at Adams Mill-* was relieved of her suf* foiings at ::a Wednesday morning. She was jwst 92 years of age and Ih survived by three children as lo. o\vh: Mrs. Abraham Murphy with whom she had her home; Mrs. Huey Porter lt;if Dresden; and William Henry Mills of New Moscow. Mrs. Mills tnjoyed remarkable health for {her extreme age and mentally she was still very bright and well preserved. Her husband died fifteen years age. Her maiden name was Fivecoat* and she was raised in Virginia township, being one of the oldest settlers in the fount,\. iSiie was a consistent member of the Mot hodi.si church and Rev. Haas of Trinway will have charge of tin* funeral.
