According to the last census the population was t814.The reason no city organization lias ever been perfected is owing to there being large and valuable tracts of timber situated so near by that they have been included in tiie tax roll, which would have been impossible under a city organization. The lumbermen have always protested, but now that the amount of timber subject to taxation is growing lessthere is a probability that the residents’ will incorporate.
