So the county board has sold the old school building that was given to the county for a court house? This was once a very fine school building, and when there was talk I of moving the scat of government • down from Bavtield elaborate news-paper cuts were printed in the Washburn papers, and articles accompanied it, telling what a beautiful building Washburn had for the new court house. Then when the voters finally decided to give Washburn the County seat it was found that the building was not fit for use, so the old town hall was utilized, and a new brownstone court house was I erected. The matter of selling the old building has been up before the County Board before, and Mr. Currie G. Bell, who was chairman of the County Board expressed himself that the old building and site were worth perhaps $2,000. But the building remained the property of the county, and has been allowed to go to rack and ruin. Now the Catholic people have it, and will fix jit up in good shape, and make aschoolhouse of it.* **
