Identification of the Headless Body Found Near Fort Thomas, Ky. CINCINNATI, Feb. 7—Last Saturday morning the headless body of an unknown young woman was found in a field in the Kentuck highlands, about half a mile south of Fort Thomas. Murderer and murdered were nameless. There was no crow but a shoe, a corset and a woman's check dress. Bloodhounds called into requisition gave contradictory stories. One went to the Covington reservoir and others went to a point in the road and stopped. The reservoir was drained and the heal was not found. The shoe was traced to a farm in Greencastle, Ind. ‘fhe dead body in Covington was identified as that of a daughter who was afterwards found to be alive. The dress and the shoe were the only crow left. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Bryan, farm ers near Greencastle, Ind., identified them as those of their daughter, Pearl Bryan, who left home last Tuesday week, Jan. 28, to go to Indianapolis to visit a friend. She did not go there. Detectives Grim and McDermot and Sheriff Plummer hired Chief Deltech of Cincinnati to arrest Scott Jackson, a student at Ohio Dental college and charge him with murder. They got bin after twelve hours’ watch ing at 11 o'clock Wednesday night. The Detectives arrested Willian Wood as an accomplice Wednesday night at South Bend, Ind. When arrested Scott Jackson protested his innocence. He was subjected to a rigid examl ition and is held charged with murder. He is well connected at Greencastle. William Wood, who is un der arrest at South Bend, is mnnear rela tive of the Rev. Me Waoad, the presiding elder of that district of the Methodist church.
