Dr. Jay mode a post-mortom examination of the body, He found the lower half of both lungs loaded with blood, and the sir-oells tilled with blood and frothy ;mucus. The heart was 3 or 4 oz. over the ,normal weight, walls thin, and showing signs of commencing fatty degeneration. Attached to the main right .valve there was an ante-mortem clot ol blood. The liver won much enlarged, weighing 82 oz., in a very advanced state of fatty degeneration. The stomach and kidneys showed signs of excessive indulgence in alcohol. The man was liable to die at any moment considering the state of his heart Death was caused by the failure of the heart's ootion with tho formation of the blood-clot on the right side.
