David J. YoungDavid J. Young, a longtime resident of Chicago Heights, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, at St. James Hospital and Health Centers, Chicago Heights.Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Davis, Hammond and Prowell Funera' Home, Chicago Heights, with the Rev. James Flint of Union Evangelistic Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mount Glenwood Memory Gardens, Glenwood.Mr. Young was born Aug. 3, 1922, in West Point, Miss. He was retired as a crane operator for Gaby Iron and Steel Co., Chicago Heights, and was a veteran of World War II.He is survived by a sister, Maudie Scott of East St. Louis; a brother, Richard (Ella; of Detroit, Mich., and his god-daughter, Joanie Rucker of Matteson.
