McHale, 43, of Jamesville Rd., DeWitt, Sunday following a long illness.Mrs. McHale was widely known throughout Central New York for her patriotism and aggressive opposition to communism and those who would appease it. She was a frequent contributor to this newspaper as well as other newspapers and national magazines Her activities in American Legion Auxiliary circles were well known throughout the state.Born Ih Jamesvlle, she was aI communicant of Holy Cross Church, DeWitt Funeral services were held there yesterday with burial in Ht. Mary's CemeteryAmong her other activities, W was a member of the Altar aVi Rosary Society, publicity chairman for the LeMoyne Dulld, a member of the Eastwood American Legion Auxiliary umi legislative chairman for the Onondaga County American Legion Auxiliary.Mrs McHale was graduated from Jamesville High School and attended Syracuse UniversityShe Is 'survived by her husband, James J McHale, her parents, Mr and Mrs C Ralph Brown, all of Jamesvlle; two brothers, Ralph H Brown of Michigan and Harold L. Brown of Jumesvile; two sisters, Mrs. Willis Bigelow of C-rown Point and Mrs Walter Dorn of Scho* lack Landing; several nieces find nephews.
