Joe Mus returned his home from Windsor where he had been employ ed for some time. John Smylski of Humboldt, Sask., attended the funeral of his brother, Michael Smylski. Peter Drebinsky has been confined to the Dauphin General hospital. Frank Homeniuk returned from Ontario where he had been employed in the pulp industry. Mike Syrnyk received a call for military training and is to report to Brandon on Feb. 8. Woodcraft and sewing are the talk of all the Lemberg school children. A number of useful articles have been contrpleted. We extend deepest sympathy to all the relatives of the late Mr. Michael Smylski of Gilbert Plains, who passed away Feb. 2, at the Dau phin General hospital. Mr. Smylski was born in the vil lage of Hieshschawa in the Ukraine in 1873. He was a pioneer of Ethel bert district, where he took active part in community affairs and ser ved as a councillor and trustee. Mrs. Smylski predeceased him in 1940. Surviving are seven sons, of whom three are in active service, and eight daughters.
