-Patrick McCormick, an aged cit izen of Jefferson township, recntiy tiled an affidavid against Albert Bacon of the same township, charg ing Bacon, of having entered upon the land of McCormick, cut and hauled a wav a stick of timber•jvalued at about one dollar. The case was commenced before Esq, Atleg.-u*, ami whm defendant was brought before his honor, he made an affidavid that the people of Monroe township, and not hi- honor, were prejudiced to him,and that he could not have a fair and impartial trial, in said Monroe township, and asked that the case be changed to some other township, rlhe change was granted and sent to Esq. N. II. Whit tern, of Madison township, and v\ ill be heard Friday next at 10 o’clock.1i(icsJ
