OBITUARYElvira M. Wiley was bom at Saxton River, Vermont, June 5, 1-815; was left an orphan at the age of eleven years. In the fall of 1836 she with tour brothers and a sister left their old home for Illinois and settled on a farm two miles south east of Brimfield Peoria couqty. She was the last of her family, aH ba\ mg preceded her to the Better Land. In May 5, 1840, she was married to L. L. Guyer of Brimfield. In 1842 she was converted under the ministry of Rev. Stephen Beggs and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, of which she remained a faithful and consistent member until called to join the Church Triumphant, Feb. 5, 1891. Of an even, sunny disposition she always found the bright side of things; lor her every cloud had a silver lining. The number that blessed their union were five children, fourgirls and one boy. Two daughters have preceded her to the “Glory Land.”
