Birth Announced Leonard and Kathy Mahosky are the proud parents of a baby boy bor February 6 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The baby has been named Matthew Scott. Grandparents are Leonard and Rose Mahosky, Mary Passmore and the late Al Passmore, all of Blossburg. The Christian Mothers of St. Mary's Church held their regular monthly meeting on February 2 in the church hall. Plans were made to provide re freshments at a Polka dance to be held on February 28 at St. Mary's Hall. Following the business meet ing, delicious refreshments were served by: Helen Pida, Dorothy Ru dinski, Helen Swinsick and Johanna Pawlak. Michael Pida,a student at St Fran cis School in Loretta, is spending some time at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pida. His school was closed because of the water shortage in that area. Teresa Pida, student teacher in S. Williamsport, also spent the weekend with her par ents. Blossburg Elementary School Writers of the Week of February 2 are: Rodney Brown. 4th grade: Karey Chamberlain, 5th grade and Shelly Carey. 6th grade. The Blossburg Fire Department and Ambulance Association have signed a contract with Benner's Amusements, Inc. of Middleburg for a carnival. It will be held at Island Park July 15 to 18 in conjunction with “Blossburg Days.” A parade is sched uled for Saturday, July 48th. Local or ganizations are urged to start making long range plans to participate in the activities Scout Sunday Scout Sunday was observed by St Mary's Boy Scout Troop 69 on Sun day, February 8th.
