CPL L. P. SMITH OF YUMA ARRIVES IN ENGLANDHeadquarters, European Theater of Operations—a group of infantry soldiers, all of whom have seen action in the most important battles in North Africa, have arrived in England to help train troops preparing for the invasion! of occupied Europe.Among them is one from Yuma, j Cpl. Lnvem P. Smith, 22. HI. 1, j Yuma.Many of the men participated in the initial landings in November 1912, and fought for the beaches, airfields, strategic heights and old forts in Morocco and Algeria. Later, many of tho doughboys saw their first action against tho Germans in Tunisia.
