Choir Pratices On Spring MusicRehearsals To Be Held in 310 Because of Elevated Floor; Mr. Harwood Is DirectorJohn Marshall’s A Capella Choir has been meeting recently to begin rehearsals for spring music and spring festivals.Several new members are included in the group whose membership is limited to thirty-five. They are Kitty Chaffin and Gene Morgan, sopranos; John Long and Billy Cooper, tenors; Joseph Bass, Garnett Hood, Durward Robertson, and Scott Futrell, basses. On Wednesday Mr. James C. Harwood assisted Mrr Charles Troxell in finding a room suitable for rehearsals. They decided on room 310 which is particularly good for this type of work because of the elevated floor. After finding the room, Mr. Harwood directed the choir which sang Stephen Foster’s “I Dream of Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair.”When the song was over, Mr. Troxell remarked, ‘'I believe this is one of the few high schools in the country whose principal can direct both tlje choir and the school orchestra.”
