Anolher Dreadful Steamboat Disaster.The Louisville Courier of a lale duesave:T‘•We regret to have to announce the total loss of the beautiful new Green Riv* er anti Louisville packet, Major Barbour accompanied with the loss of from five to eight lives. The Major Barbour started from ihis place on her second trip to Green River, on Wednesday afternoon last, with a full freight and n num. her of passengers, and on the morning following, (Thursday,) about 4 (/clock, when about iliree miles below Ilawesvillc, she eamo in collision with the steamer Paul Jones. The shock was so severe, and the injury the Major Barbour sustained was so great, that alt hough she was immediately headed for the shore, she sunk to the hurricane decks when slie was a considerable distance from shore.
