ZielkeArpa Margaret (Wuerch) Zielke, 86, of DeSoto, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005.Mrs. Zielke was bom Oct. 18, 1918, in St. Ouens, Manitoba, Canada, to the late Jonathan and Paulina (Wills) Wuerch, both of whom were of German descent. She was a woman bf great courage, strength and determination, sustained by the love of her Lord. She was always resourceful, full of integrity and devoted to her family and friends. For many years, she was actively involved with the Women's MissionaryjCouncil of her church.Mom was a wonderful example of unconditional love and had a generous, appreciative heart. She was dearly loved and' will be deeply missed.Services were * held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, in the Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Dallas. The Rev. Houston C. McDaniel officiated.Interment followed in the Laurel Land Memorial Park.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William Zielke in 1994; one brother, Herbert Wuerch and one sister, Alma Steinke.She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sonja Zielke of Lan-caster, Howard and BrendaArpa Margaret Zielkeand Alice Zielke of Birmingham, Ala., four daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Royce Beckett of Kansas City, Mo., Lea Davidson and fiance Peter Mansfield of DeSoto, Cheryl and Bob Herman of Dallas and Wendy and Gerald King of Duncanville; 18 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Norman Wuerch of Dallas; three sisters, Iris Litke of Denison, Joyce Litke o£, Oak Leaf and Lorraine Nevins of Red Oak; and numerous nieces and nephews.We wish to thank the many people in the healthcare profession who were her angels of mercy.
