Mrs. Frank J. Lausche officially opened Boy Scout Week in Ohio at the Governor's Mansion Satur day noon by cutting a large Boy Scout cake. Mr. and Mrs. Firl W. Nicholson, 243 Wetmore Road, Co lumbus, their two sons, David and Nicky, and Eagle Scout Don ald good of 383 Brevoort Road were luncheon guests of the Lau sche'’s and represented the famil ies of more than 125,000 Boy Scouts of Ohio. ‘The theme of Boy Scout Week this year is “The Scout Family and the import ance of the family to the nation is being stressed. The large birth day cake with the Boy Scout emblem superimposed on the map of Ohio with the dates 1803 and 1953 symbolizing the Ohio Ses quicentennial and the inscription “43rd Anniversary, Boy Scouts of America , was served as part of the dessert course. No formal pro gram was held but Governor and Mrs. Lausche discussed the Boy Scout program with their guests. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson are Cub master and Den Mather respec tively of Cub Pack 134 of the Maple Grove Methodist Church Both have received the 3 year training award medal for complet ing the training program of the Boy Scouts of America and for serving as leaders for more than three years. Their son, David, a member of Pack 134 represented the Cub Scouts of Ohio. Their older son, Nicky, a First Class Scout of Troop 80, sponsored by the Northern Kiwanis Club, re presented the Boy Scout, and Donald good, an Eagle Scout member of Explorer Post 69, also sponsored by the Northern Kiwan is Club, represented the Explorer of Ohio. Don is also lodge chief of the order of the arrow, a scout camping society.
