I _____1 - —OBITUARYMrs. Mary J. Zetrouer, nee Bridges, was born in Floyd county, Georgia, November 26, 1840, and departed this 1 life December 26th, 1910, aged 70 | years and 11 months. She was con- ^ verted and joined the M. E. church, i south, in the twelfth year of her age. 1 Her father, Rev. J. M. Bridges, moved to Florida in the winter of 1852. On [ January 26thv 1853, he arrived in Mic- ^ anopy, where his family remained while he rode the circuit for about \ gix months, when he removed to Marion county, where he remained until ' 1867, when he removed to Live Oak.Sister Zetrouer was married to Brother James C. Zetrouer in 1860, which happy union brought to their home six children, one being Mrs. Britt, deceased. The remaining five j children are Mrs. L. L. Bellah and t Mrs. Ida G. Harrod of Gainesville, and Miss Mary G. Zetrouer, Mr. J. R. Zetrouer and Mr. D. R. Zetrouer, who reside near Micanopy. She was a sister of Rev. F. C. Bridges of the Florida conference.Although for several years deeply j afflicted, she sought every possible! opportunity to attend the services in her church. She loved her pastors, j and in her younger years they found a loving welcome in her home, and , this part of her mantle has fallen on ! her children. The writer knew her only a few weeks before her death, and at that time there was some hope of her partial recovery, and her children were then planning to give a family celebration of their parents’ fiftieth wedding anniversary, which would have occurred on the day of her burial. How true it is that ‘in the midst of life, we are in death.Her remains w'ere laid to rest in Oak Ridge cemetery, near Rochelle. The services were conducted by the writer, in the absence of her pastor. A large gathering of weeping loved ones, aged friends of her youth and acquaintances of the family accompanied us.
