Concerning this the Free Press says :— The game between Knight, of Brandon, and Macdonald, of the Assiniboines, in the Grand Chal lenge, proved to be one of the finest games of the beaspiel. Up to the last two ends the play was very even, but then Knight drew away and finished 12-7. Danbar and Knight play off. The Free Press gives a cat of F. Knight, and has the following of him Fred Knight, of Brandon, is one of the most successful curlers in Manitoba. After playing for sever al years as third for A. Kelly, of Brandon, he came out as a skip last year and succeeded in winning the Walkerville trophy at the bran don bonspiel, and the prize donated by the same firm in Winnipeg. On the latter occasion he won a decis ive victory over ‘Hob” Dunbar, of the Thistles. Mr. Knight this year won the consolation event at the St. Paul bonspiel and is in a dance at the Winnipeg ‘spiel a strong rink. Sixty-nine rinks re knocked out in the Challenge, yesterday. Fred Knight ar his rink are quartered at the Winnipeg hotel.
