After the report of the Railway Denuta- Qtion had been read, it was moved by Vm. j w Roberts, seconded by R. Rilance, ThAt gthe Council accept the report of the deputation as now read, save and except the last —Carried. Moved by R. Rilance seconded by Wm. Roberts. That this Council withdraw the by-law voted on by I the rate payers of this Municipality, grant- v ing a bonus of 825,(KX) in aid of the Toronto q Nipisaing Railway.—Carried. An order j was granted in favor of the Trustees of S. , Section No. 2, Digby, for the sum of $5 05 * non-resident taxes for 1869. The Collectorlowing sums charg-chargc against lot tt No. 19, con. 3rd Digby ; and f6 86, charg- blt; ed against lot No. 31, con, 3rd Digby. Pat- b rick Garvy was allowed $3 abatement on his Arrears of taxes, provided he perform three ti days statute labor in the year 1870 in lieu u thereof. The number of tavern license was tclimited to be granted by the Municipality for the rear1870 to 3,and two shop licenses.inThe Reeve was instructed to attend the ^ Und sale on the 3rd of February at Lind- j ^ say, to bid up certain lota to be named by i the Council.
