****** .-nOBITUARY.John M. Bowman was born Dec. 26, 1835, in Feeble County, Ohio, and ' came with his parents to Indiana 1 when but two years old, Hj was the oldest of a family of twelve children. Of six sisters and five brothers onK 1 one sieter, Martha Denny of this County, and one brother Gilbeit brv-^ man of Missouri, are left. He was r married to Sarah J. Smith. F»b. 21, 1864. To this union were bou 14 r children eight of which had passed lo the great beyond and were waiting to welcome their father home. There remains to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father, the wife, four daughters, two sons and sixteen grandchildren. He united with the Methodist church in Fill-more, in May, 1891 living a devoted Christian life to the end and was ready and willing t go. His only regret wae leaving his family. He volun-» tecred in Co. H 11th Indian i Regiment in 1S65. He had been a patient sufferer for more than three years and on Feb. 3, 1906 he peacefully passed away, aged seventy years, one month, and eight days.The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Fillmore, Feb. 6, 1906, the Rev.
