Peal, Barber,-Wheeler, A. A. Cutter, Henry Day, Ballard, Chamberlin, Eugene Shavfy Cooper, Fiske, Ashnm and George T. Thomp • son; Misses Augusta Kidder, Martha Kidder, Ruth Winterbotham, Vary and Mary Carson. The luncheon was given in honor of Mrs. Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence and Mrs. Cooper sang several beautiful ballads in a very charm ing manner, after which the following novel amusement was introduced to the guests. In one of the rooms the hostess had arranged what was called a “Midway.” Here were placed a number of articles representing well-known books, and each guest was given a tablet and pencil wherewith to write the title of the book represented. Prizes were given Mrs. Nils Holm and Mrs. Lawrence, these ladies having guessed the greatest number of book titles.
