That the new plant of the Empire Refining- company will proceed at near capacity operations when it is completely finished is seen in the announcement today that the capacity of the Texas-Emplre pipe line, whihh furnishes crude oil to the East Chicago refinery, will be almost doubled in capacity. The present line extends from Cushing, Okla., to East Chicago, and has a capacity of approximately 30,000 barrels per day. The capacity will be increased to supply 50,000 barrels a. day by the construction of eight new pumping stations along the route of the line, which will greatly increase the pressure and allow the consequent greater flow of crude oil. These new stations will be built at strategic points along the line as soon as weather permits work to start.
